Just over three months ago, I began the transition from the Coast Guard back to civilian life. As I shared in a post right after the ceremony, I spent the summer enjoying some time off to reconnect with the family before moving forward with whatever the next chapter of my life has in store. I had an absolute blast Saturday riding a stretch of Highway 129 at the North Carolina - Tennessee border near Deal's Gap known as the "Tail of the Dragon."
With 318 curves in 11 miles, there are plenty of opportunities to practice the basics of motorcycle control.
