Rolling Thunder Reflection

Today I had the honor to join in the 15th Annual Ride of the Patriots and the 26th Annual Rolling Thunder Run.  This was the right way for me to celebrate Memorial Day this year.  It was an emotional way to spend the last weekend before I retire from the Coast Guard.

One Boston Marathon Experience

I was one of the lucky ones.  

It's been a week since I crossed the finish line.  My heart goes out to those who suffered and died that day.  The sadness is overwhelming.

But I will try not to let the act of terror define my memory of the 2013 Boston Marathon.  You see, when I crossed the finished line, I had far exceeded my goal for the day.

Open Work

In a previous post, I shared a recommendation from a great book for folks in transition:Happier: Learn the Secrets to Daily Joy and Lasting Fulfillment.

For the past few months, I've been building the answers in a simple text file and adding to it when I think of it.
